Frequently asked questions
Fixup Ecofix 232 is a high-performance polyurethane adhesive consisting of two components—a resin (Part A) and a hardener (Part B)—that must be mixed on-site in a precise ratio (commonly 4:1) before application. It offers superior bonding strength, flexibility, and waterproofing compared to single-component adhesives.
Fixup Ecofix 232 adhesive provides better flexibility, crack resistance, water resistance, chemical resistance and bond strength than cementitious adhesive, making it suitable for challenging substrates and critical installations such as exteriors, metal, glass and heated floors.
It bonds well to concrete, cement boards, plywood, metal, glass, PVC, plastics, epoxy and polyurethane screeds, and similar surfaces.
The most common mixing ratio is 4 parts resin (Part A) to 1 part hardener (Part B) by weight. Proper mixing is essential for optimal performance.
Yes, two-part polyurethane adhesives are waterproof and ideal for bathrooms, kitchens, swimming pools, and other wet environments.
Yes, it is thixotropic and designed to prevent sagging or slip, making it suitable for wall applications.
